Weekend cookout

It's a Marion Grasby weekend.  In the mood for cooking so I stocked up on ingredients yesterday at the Grocer's as I planned to make Chinese Pan-fried Pork Buns. Always been a dim sum and Chinese food fanatic so I'm challenging myself this weekend.  Somehow, I have always steered clear of yeast or dough and find it intimidating to work with. I guess Marion Grasby always seems to make everything look approachable and easy. Made the dough last night in advance so I didn't have to wait so long this morning. The skill required here is the wrapping of the buns, making each pleat as obvious as possible. Certainly requires more practice in this area. Pan fry in hot pan till the base is nice and brown, then add in water to cover half the buns, lid on, and cook for a further 12 minutes. The final product was definitely a crowd pleaser. Paired with chilli oil, it's kinda perfection? Dinner brought another round of excitement for me, as I attempted one of my favourite Taiwanes
